In honour of Bob Turner, in recognition of his many years of exceptional service in coaching and mentorship, Bob Turner had a profound and positive impact on all of his athletes and has been recognized by many of them as the reason for their success. He has left a void in Windsor and Essex County which will be very difficult to fill.

The Bob Turner Award will be presented annually to a member of the Windsor and Essex County community who has provided many years of dedicated service to athletics, promoting participation, continuous improvement, and the all-round development and well-being of athletes.

Particular consideration will be given to candidates who have: 

-coached or served for many years, and/or

-coached multiple sports, and/or

-promoted success and a love of sport, and/or

-promoted the advancement and well-being of athletes, and/or provided leadership and mentoring.
